Nudibranch / Sea Slug
Hey guys! Here's a new monster for the blog. This pudgy dude is roughly based off of a nudibranch/sea slug. He's not quite as slug like and you can see his brain whereas you can not see a nudibranch's brain. But nonetheless, this is what happened after I looked at tons of nudibranch pics. And his brain was based off of brain corel. Click of the link if you don't know what nudibranches are. http://www.nudipixel.net They're adorable little sea creatures.

Character Book
There is an artist over on DeviantART http://-jenni-.deviantart.com/ that is starting this huge project of publishing her own character design book, not filled with her designs but with tons of unknown artists willing to partake in the project. Basically the way it works is she sends you a list of 50 different subjects that you then can choose from to do character designs of and she decides what gets put into the book. I plan on participating in this event. I think it will be a good way to get some of my artwork out there for people to see. I've already started on some designs. So go check out her page and see if your interested in contributing to the project.

Ice Monster
So here's my latest monster creation. I am quite fond of this guy. It took me forever to get his design just right. I had this certain idea in my head but I just couldn't seem to get it out on paper. Finally I was able to get it right and here is the final product. He has the ability to mold ice into any shape weapon he chooses. I just love his badass attitude.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Hello from the Sfémonster!
Hello everyone!
My name is Sfé and I am brand new to PROJECT MONSTER! For years I've been designing monsters of all shapes and sizes, so this blog is basically my DREAM BLOG- I'm super thrilled to be posting here!
I FIGURED that since I'm new I'd get the ball rolling by posting the first part of a project that I started last year called the Monster Menagerie. The idea is that this project will catalogue all the monster designs that I've come up with over the year- Thus far the menagerie is in its 5th installment, but I have plans for at least 4 more before I get 'em all drawn (and I keep designing more and more monsters, so WHO KNOWS, maybe it will never be completed!).
You can see the rest of the menageries (plus lots more monsters and mayhem) on my DeviantART account- or, you can save yourself some searching and check out the original monster menagerie (plus four more!) right here.
And then, just so that I don't leave ya'll short-changed with a bunch of old reposts and hyperlinks, here is something I finished JUST TODAY as an icon for my LiveJournal - one of my monster designs based off of the Jabberwocky mentioned in the Lewis Carroll poem!
(He's all squished up to fit the 100x100 dimensions of an icon, thus the squirmy-wormy pose.)
Man, but let me say again that I am super thrilled to be here! This blog is mega inspiring- ya'll are making me want to draw a million times more monsters! :D
